Renewable energy infrastructure
Decarbonising the energy sector is vital to limiting the rise in global temperatures in line with the Paris Agreement. Capital Dynamics’ funds support the transition to a low-carbon economy by investing in wind and solar farms and related technologies. Their primary focus is bringing new renewable power projects onto the grid, accelerating the global shift toward clean energy and reducing reliance on carbon-intense resources.
Funds VIII and IX were Snowball’s first investments in private clean energy funds. Private funds bring additional capital to the sector, boosting clean energy capacity. Capital Dynamics’ proven strategy – refined over seven previous renewables funds and more than a decade – has transformed greenfield assets into contracted, de-risked, cash-generating portfolios. Their assets offer stable cash yield and lower correlation to broader market cycles, enhancing resilience compared to the traditional infrastructure market.
Capital Dynamics concluded 2024 as a leading player in Italy’s renewable energy sector. The firm excelled in both construction speed and project volume, solidifying its position as an industry frontrunner. Capital Dynamics successfully completed four state-of-the-art solar photovoltaic projects across Italy, with a total installed capacity of 128 MW. Remarkably, these projects were delivered in under 24 months from acquisition, with the largest, a 93 MW project, constructed and connected in just six months.
